Demandbase Style Guide

"Ace" Demandbase Mascot
We wanted a mascot for Demandbase, and I worked on how to incorporate it into the rebrand. A playful usage of the little icon mark in the new logo (and in the original logo), taking the "Ase" (Ace) out of "Demandbase," and utilizing a focus on the illustrative brand assets as the "pen" of the brand. We made Ace a cross between the playfulness of Disney's Tinkerbell and a determined paper airplane, which literally draws all the brand doodles we incorporated. It was well-received and really fun to build assets.
I hired some excellent animators to create the Ace animations, which I incorporated into the brand projects, brand motion project, and internal communications, such as Slack GIF messages. This really tied the brand identity together.

Content & eBooks
The cornerstone content piece was our CMO's brainchild - The Clear & Complete Guide to ABX (Account-Based Experience). A whopping 260-page book that I Art Directed and built. This was the largest eBook that I've ever done. (And I did two of them, whew!). The concept was that ABX is an experience and should be fun... like a carnival ride. It has ups and downs, and it's a journey. So, let's make it a fun one. Built by Velocity Partners in the UK, this massive project really utilized the new Demandbase brand and the Ace mascot, drawing brand doodles throughout the book.

Social & Internal HR Projects
It was fun to thank the Demandbase employees by calling them out in our all-hands meetings. We got to share it on our social channels and celebrate our mission and the individual employees. I got one, too, which was fun. (And I got to make my own award—it killed the surprise, but it was fun to do regardless.)



The ABM Innovation Summit 2020 - "ABM/NEXT"
These are some mockups for Demandbase's keynote event for 2020. Unfortunately, the event was canceled due to Covid. Funny (sort-of) story: I actually finished the last project the day we canceled the event. I was in charge of all the signage, conference mobile app & video production for the event, and here are some of the design highlights from the planned event. So bummed it never happened, but I have some decent portfolio work.
